Amba Haldi, also called Jangli Haldi or Curcuma aromatica, is a type of wild turmeric found in tropical parts of South and Southeast Asia. It has large green leaves and underground stems (rhizomes) with a creamy orange color. The rhizomes have a fresh, strong aroma and are often used in powdered form. Amba Haldi adds natural color and fragrance to various mixes. It contains trace vitamins and plant-based compounds. The root is mainly valued for its scent and golden tone.
