Jamun Chilka (Syzygium cumini), also known as Blackberry Tree Peel, is the dried outer skin of the jamun fruit, which grows on evergreen trees native to India and Southeast Asia. The peel is dark purple to black and has a mildly astringent taste. Naturally high in anthocyanins and fiber, it is sometimes used as a natural food colorant or as a dried ingredient in recipes and skincare products.
