Jawakhar Asli (also known as Javakhar, Yavashar, or Yavakhar) is a white, alkaline powder obtained by burning and processing the whole barley plant (Hordeum vulgare). The process includes drying the plant, burning it to ash, dissolving the ash in water, filtering, and heating to produce the final powder. It has a fine, powdery texture and a mildly acrid taste. Jawakhar is rich in natural potassium salts and is commonly used as an alkaline ingredient in culinary and botanical preparations.
