Lodh Pathani (Symplocos racemosa) is an evergreen, medium-sized tree native to the forests of India and Southeast Asia. The tree features greyish, warty bark, shiny elliptic leaves, and clusters of small, cream-colored flowers. Its fruit is a purplish-black drupe containing one to three hard seeds. The bark is the most valued part and is traditionally used in Ayurvedic formulations and skincare blends. Lodh Pathani contains natural compounds such as , loturine,lavonoids, and is known for its astringent and bitter taste.
