I got Coconut Scraper in damaged condition - - the Steel Body and Top are crushed - as if the body parts have fallen off at multiple times.I had to get it replaced.I had bought the item to send it across to my daughter in Germany. The disappointment is more when the manufacturer claims to be there since 1974.If I need defect free Quality Tested product, I suggest one should visit the shop.

nice product..but the tongue of the scrapper got broken after 6 months..also the vaccum base losts its ability to hold on to the floor gradually..

Unfortunately my maid, (also named Anjali), managed to distroy this product within 6 coconuts. The filmsy nut holding the turning handle in place came loose and fell off and Anjali kept on grating... the handle then CUT through the thin steel body of the device.I contacted the seller and got this response:"Sir extremely sorry to tell this condition has happened to over use or rough usage , as there are no complaints for this product".Its not like I disagree with the seller - but there is a complaint about the product and it comes from me. I don't think 'overuse' is a valid reason though - it was 6 coconuts after all and how many coconuts am I allowed to grate before my product expires?? To be fair I am pretty sure my maid applied too much pressure and broke it, because I grated a couple of coconuts first and it didn't break on my watch.Anyway, I'll try to get it replaced and if not I am willing to buy a second one and tell the maid to go easy. Other people have really liked the product so one bad review shouldn't put you off - but don't apply unnecessary pressure - its not the traditional sit-down grater!
